Search for Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT) Information

You can enter the "Credit Accumulation and Transfer" (CAT) search through "Search" on the navigation bar or through the quick link “Credit Accumulation and Transfer” on the landing page.

 

You can find your target qualification with CAT arrangement(s) based on any combination of the following search criteria:

 

  • Keywords
  • Qualification Type
  • CAT Type
  • QF Level
  • Area of Study and Training
  • Industry
  • QR Registration No.
  • Registration Status
  • Credit Transfer Arrangement (From)
  • Credit Transfer Arrangement (To)

You can fill in or select relevant information in one or more search field(s). If there is "chevron-down-solid" next to the search field, click to open the pull-down menu for criteria selection.

 

Then, click “Search” to search for qualification(s) with relevant CAT information on the QR.

 

To re-start a new search, you may click “Reset” to reset all values in the searching criteria.

 

Points to note:

 

By default, "Registration Status" is set at "Current" and "Prospective". To find an "Archived" record, you need to select the status as "Archived".

 

When you are searching for receiving programmes / institutions or sending qualifications / institutions, you can select "CAT Type" as CAT(P), CAT(R) or combination with either one or both of them.

Upon an initial search, you can use the "Filters" on the left panel to narrow down your search results. You can select any combination of the following filters:

 

  • QF Credit
  • QF Level
  • Registration Status
  • Title of Qualification
  • CAT Type
  • CAT Arrangement
  • Qualification Type
  • Name of Operator / Agency
  • Name of Granting Body
  • Title of Learning Programme
  • Area of Study and Training
  • Industry
  • Mode of Delivery
  • Operator / Agency Reference Code
  • Country / Region of Operator / Agency
  • Country / Region of Granting Body
  • Credit Transfer Arrangement (From)
  • Credit Transfer Arrangement (To)

 

by filling in or selecting relevant information in one or more search filter(s). If there is "plus" in the filter, click to open the pull-down menu for criteria selection. There will be counts on results next to each criterion.

 

Then, click “Apply” to find qualification(s) meeting your criterion(a).

 

To re-start a new search, you can click "Reset" to reset all values in the filters.

 

Points to note:

 

By default, “Registration Status” is set at “Current” and “Prospective” in the searching criteria above. If you wish to find an "Archived" record in the "Filters", you have to select the status as “Archived” in the searching criteria.

 

For "QF Credit", you can select the range either by inputting a value or moving the range slider. To show records with no credit value indicated, you can check the box "Credit value not displayed".

 

Search Results

After making a search, QR will return a list of qualifications that match the criteria selected. There will be counts on “Results”, “Exclue double count”, “Operator(s)”, “Granting body(ies)" on the top of the list.

 

The qualifications will be displayed in three tabs of “Receiving Programmes”, “Sending Qualifications” and “Programmes with CAT(I) Arrangement”. 

 

QF Level, QF Credit, Registration Status, Qualification Type(s) and CAT Type(s) are indicated by icons. You can click the icons to see their names or definitions.

 

To view the previous / next search results page, you can click the “ < ” / “ > ” keys, or click the page number, or insert a page number in the "o" at the top or bottom of the list to view a particular page.

After making a search, you can further sort the search results to pick out the records you are looking for.

 

You can click "chevron-down-solid" next to "Sorting Order" to open the pull-down menu for criterion selection. Then click the icon asc to change the sorting order, with as asc ascending and as descdescending.

 

Fields with sorting function available are:

  • CAT Type
  • Name of Operator / Agency
  • QF Credit
  • QF Level
  • Qualification Type
  • Registration Status
  • Title of Qualification

For CAT Type, “CAT(I)” , “CAT(P)” , “CAT(R)” and qualifications without CAT arrangement are arranged in alphabetical order.

 

For Registration Status, “Current” current  , “Prospective” prospective and “Archived” archived  are arranged as ascending order.

You can tap "heart" to add a record to "My Favourite" when you are viewing the list of search results or the relevant QR Record Details.

 

Click “Add All heart” to add all search results to "My Favourite" in one go.

 

To view your favourite list, you can open the toolbox "toolbox" and tap "heart-fill".

The records kept in "My Favourite" will be displayed according to the qualification(s) you have selected in the search results list of the three Searches.

 

Remove records from "My Favourite" list

 

Click the "heart-fill" on the qualification. If you wish to remove all qualifications from "My Favourite", click “Remove All bin”.

 

Print and download records on "My Favourite" list

 

Click "Print print_icon" to print the list as what you viewed on screen, and click "Download download_excel" to download the list in Excel with full data set.

Key information including QR Registration No., title of qualification, name of operator / assessment agency, QF Level, QF Credit, registration validity period, qualification type and CAT type are shown at the top of page.

 

If you search the record in CAT Search, the tab "CAT Information" will be displayed by default. If you wish to view the qualification information of the record, you can click the tab "Qualification Information".

 

You can click the weblink to view the information on CAT arrangement(s) for that specific programme.

 

You can click on the icons or "info-circle-fill" to see their names or definitions of the fields.

 

Information of credit transfer arrangement is only applicable for programmes with CAT(P) and / or CAT(R) arrangement(s). You can click the title of receiving programme / sending qualification to view its QR Record Details. Fields with sorting function available are indicated with icons next to the field name, with ascas ascending and descas descending. You can click the icon and the icon will be changed to indicate the preferred sorting order.

 

Click "Print print_icon" to print the QR Record Details as what you viewed on screen, and click "Download download_excel" to download the QR Record Details in Excel format.
