QFQR4U – QR Promotion Campaign 2022 – Awarding Ceremony
The Awarding Ceremony of the QFQR4U - QR Promotion Campaign 2022 was successfully held on 10 November 2022 (Thursday). Nearly 50 participants attended the event, and spent a warm evening together to share the joyful moments of the winners of the video production competition.

HKCAAVQ with the support of the Qualifications Framework Secretariat held the QR Mobile Goes Live – Briefing-cum-Demonstration on 5 February 2021 to celebrate the launch of QR Mobile, and to provide updates on the latest development of the QF and QR. The event, attended by nearly 100 participants online, was well received by operators.

Launch of QR Mobile
We are pleased to announce the official launching of QR Mobile.
QR Mobile is purposefully designed to facilitate browsing and searching QR information with a mobile device. With a simple and easy-to-read layout, the QR Mobile enables the public to search qualification information and credit transfer arrangements of 8,000+ qualifications operated by 200+ operators at the fingertip. All content of the QR Desktop is available in the QR Mobile with customisation to fit for purpose. User can even bookmark their favourite records and share the information through common messenger applications.

The QR Operators Briefing 2020 organised by the HKCAAVQ, and supported by Qualifications Framework Secretariat (QFS) is scheduled to be held on 21 January 2020 at HKCAAVQ Siu Sai Wan office. Information Briefing Sessions on Provision of Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT) Data on Qualifications Register (QR) On 4 December 2018, HKCAAVQ organised two Information Briefing Sessions on Provision of CAT Data on QR respectively for HKCAAVQ-accredited operators and self-accrediting operators at Central Government Offices with the following purposes: (a) to inform QR operators with the newly launched CAT centralised database and the data requirements for uploading CAT information on the QR; (b) to provide details about the provision of data for the bulk upload of CAT information in form of a Data Patch exercise designed for the existing learning programmes for HKCAAVQ-accredited operators for smooth transition; and (c) to share actual cases of QR upload of CAT information. The briefing sessions were well-attended with over 97% of invited operators participating in them.

A two-phase approach is adopted to adding hyperlinks to HKCAAVQ’s published accreditation reports to the QR Record Details page.
For Phase 1, a new “Accreditation Reports” page is added to the “Statistics and Reports” sub-menu item under “About Us” on the QR website. The new “Accreditation Reports” page provides a brief description of the summary accreditation reports published by HKCAAVQ and a hyperlink to the relevant webpage. Please click here to access the webpage.
For Phase 2, a hyperlink to HKCAAVQ’s published accreditation reports will be added to each individual QR Record Details page of qualifications accredited by HKCAAVQ (including those offered by PAA operators). This Phase is targeted for completion in October 2018. |

HKCAAVQ organised the Operators Briefing cum Specialists Appointment Ceremony with the purposes of briefing operators the development in HKCAAVQ’s accreditation work and new initiatives of the Qualifications Register. The event was also used as an opportunity to hold the annual Specialists Appointment Ceremony. The Briefing cum Ceremony was held at Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, on 19 May 2017. The event was well-attended, and it had successfully provided a platform for useful exchange and networking between Operators, Specialists and HKCAAVQ; updated participants about our new developments and initiatives; and presented a vote of thanks and Certificate of Appointment to HKCAAVQ Specialists in front of around 300 participants.

The addition of Sub-area as a search criterion under the Area of Study and Training is launched on the QR for HKCAAVQ-accredited programmes including those with Programme Area Accreditation (PAA) status. At the same time a new feature “Quality Assurance” status on an individual QR record basis is incorporated in the internal interface of the QR for easy identification of the accreditation status of the qualification under the broader 14 Areas of Study and Training. For qualifications from the self-accrediting sector the indication of Sub-area on a voluntary basis is scheduled for the end of 2016.
